During hot days it’s tempting to leave windows open, but please make sure all windows and doors are fully closed and locked when you leave your home, even for a short time. Opportunistic burglars look for easy access points, and open windows are one of the most common entry routes. The same applies to vehicles.

Avoid leaving windows open or valuables on display, even if you’re only stepping away briefly.

A few simple steps can significantly reduce the risk of theft:

• Close and lock all windows and doors when you go out🏘️

• Use window restrictors if you want ventilation while you’re at home✔️

• Keep car windows closed and remove valuables✔️

• Report suspicious behaviour to police on 101 or 999 in an emergency 🚔
